KGG is fully-owned by Egyptian-based Altoukhy Family, who’s core business and philanthropy pioneered private education investments in Egypt over three decades ago.
The family is majority shareholder of Misr University for Science & Technology (MUST), founded in 1996. MUST was the vision of its founder, the late Dr. Souad Kafafi, who was Chancellor of its first Board of Trustees.
Dr. Kafafi’s son, Khaled Altoukhy is now leading at the helm since 2004. In keeping with the family tradition, he has a deep sense of Corporate Social Responsibility. He remains committed to providing affordable higher education to students with aptitude, desire and commitment to learn.
In 2006, parallel to the family core business, Khaled Altoukhy initiated a successful diversification alternative investment strategy that not only generated sustainable value, but also effectively balanced the family’s overall estate risk profile.
With the third generation now easing into the family business, diversification and sustainable growth are becoming key to further sustain value and spread risks.
KGG now takes over the responsibility of the family’s alternative businesses to ensure efficient business structures reflect the location of the assets, the nature of the assets and whether they generate income or capital growth.
KGG aligns the generations priorities to look for growth in new markets. It allocates the family’s wealth on selected niche opportunities in multiple sectors, with particular emphasis on real estate developments in selected sectors in various stable global markets, primarily Germany and Canada.
In addition to strategic asset allocation, risk management and management selection, KGG focuses on sophisticated wealth planning, and tailor-made financing solutions for its illiquid assets.
